I am using this to pack lunch for my 6 year old. I can put a sandwich (cut in half and trim the rind because he doesn't like it), 3 fruit/veg options, and treats like M&Ms or Hershey Kisses. I love that I can send variety and not have to wash 5 different containers! My child has no problem opening or closing them, although sometimes he rushes to play and doesn't close them properly. If you send wet food like yogurt to school, make sure you don't overfill it (3/4 is good) so it doesn't leak. No need to rush to wash the tray every night. Keeps food fresh and my son has no problem eating it for lunch at midday. If you're wrapping food and smell it, soak it in baking soda to get rid of the smell. I usually hand wash them or put them in the dishwasher on the top shelf. Using Press n Seal on the top of the lid (the lid that touches the food when it's closed) helps keep it clean. This will protect the seal better. I usually cook the night before and put the tray in the fridge and put it in the lunch box in the morning. We just use a regular sized lunch bag that I bought at a thrift store for two dollars. I also throw in some other snack options and the juice box that sits on top of the Bentgo Kids along with a napkin and fork. We are very happy with this lunch box and will be using it for a while!
