THE GOODI builds several hundred boards a year and is my favorite solder paste for small components. Easy to spread with very fine tips and easy to spread. It is also easy to refine due to its low temperature profile. In the last 2 years I have tried 4-5 whistles. THE BAD: Being a bismuth mix, it tends to be brittle and should not be used for components that protrude beyond the board or connectors that will be subjected to pressure. . Any lateral force will shear the solder joint fairly easily. Use a 63/37 tin/lead paste on these components as it creates a stronger bond. The downside is that tin-lead paste tends to be thicker, so more difficult to dispense, and it's not very good for very fine pitch components. CONSIDERATIONS Make sure you follow the manufacturer's recommended low temperature profile. Using this paste with a high temperature profile will result in unsightly flux spatter/blistering that will require cleaning after assembly. components or SMD connectors on it. If that's your use case, this is the best paste I've found.
