Review on πŸ–₯️ Antec PF12 Series 5-Pack: High Performance 120mm PC Case Fans with 3-pin Connector by Hco Cortes

Decent entry-level fans.

I needed a set of relatively inexpensive fans for my desktop and since I've mostly used Antec fans so far I thought it might be worth a try. In terms of installation, the fans fit just like any other fan. It would be nice if they indicated the direction of airflow, but figuring out how to install them to get the desired results wasn't difficult. Let's talk about airflow first. The fans aren't very fast and the design of the blades doesn't generate much enthusiasm. These are fairly simple, generic fans that work well in large numbers, but are probably not useful for cooling a heatsink, a CPU cooler, or even in situations where you can only fit two or more fans. These fans are well suited for larger cases where they can be installed a lot and have room to work. Second. Let's talk about noise. Since these fans have relatively low speeds, they don't make much noise. They're not as quiet as more expensive models, but they're not overly loud either. As long as you don't count the decibels too carefully, you should be fine with that. Finally, let's talk about longevity. Since I run my system 24/7, I swap out case fans every few years. In general, Antec fans have done a good job. I've never felt that they break easily and I don't expect this group of fans to be any different. They will eventually fail, but if they last a few years they will more than make up for their price. They won't blow your mind, but they are decent, relatively reliable fans for the money.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Overall ok, but...
