I wish I would have bought something like this a few years ago. Picking up scissors seems like a very simple thing, and I had no idea how much easier scissors would make my [sewing] life. I couldn't decide when I bought them, so I bought two different brands of scissors at once, thinking I might keep one in my travel bag. I am posting pictures of both. The other pair was two bucks cheaper, but as far as I know a pair of Hobby Tools is MUCH better. It's really hard to describe, but Beadalon scissors have uncomfortably sharp edges. It's not that the edges are sharp, it just feels like thin cheap metal. As said, it's really hard to explain! The Hobby Tools scissors' metal isn't much thicker, but they feel a lot better when you hold them in your hands, and the action of the scissors is comfortable, crisp, and efficient. Both pairs worked great on cotton and polyester threads - recreational and upholstery - and 6-thread embroidery thread, but a few hobby tools left a cleaner edge on the embroidery thread and felt like a hot knife in butter.
