First of all, I am very careful with my electronics. Excellent screen and protection, no falls and water damage etc - I bought a black XL from Revain about 2 months ago, new. I check it after a few minutes and it won't turn on. All forms of troubleshooting do not work. I contact Google, they offer to take it to one of their supported repair shops. Living in a popular big city, I'm sure it's just around the corner. No, they have very few of these supported stores and the nearest is almost two hours away with no traffic. I drive to work and they tell me they don't have any pixel parts. Then I go to the next place and leave it there. A day later I was told that they "replaced 75% of the phone and it still won't turn on, we have no idea! This is probably a motherboard error. Also, Pixel 4 phones seem to have weird charging issues." I contact Google again. I was told to contact Revain for a replacement. I contact Revain where they tell me to contact Google. I speak to Google again and the rep says they will make an 'exception' for me (confusing, should you be breaching your warranty? How is this situation an exception?) - now they want me to return my broken phone mailed and sent me a restored one.— I browse the google forums and notice that they are full of people who recently bought new pixels, they find a problem, send it in and have it repaired in questionable condition have bought a pixel 3 and now a 4 but definitely not a 5. if the phone is new it is highly recommended to replace it with a new product as the phones you are using are outdated.government based.this means Please note that the refurbished phone you receive back may not last long depending on how long it was previously used. Modern phones like the Pixel are prone to screen burn, battery drain and camera lens scratches over time. What if you receive a refurbished phone that has been used for over a year? The quality of the battery, screen and camera may have deteriorated. However, if you have just bought a new phone, you should not buy a refurbished phone that may have been used for that long. I know google support can do the usual copy and paste below to suggest I contact them. If the first 4-5 reps didn't work for me, why do you think others will?
