Review on πŸ” Accurate PCD Measuring Tool: Aspire Wheel/Stud or Rim Bolt Gauge for 4 5 6 8 Holes Lug Bolt Patterns by John Clarey

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The actual scale printed on it is completely inaccurate

With many rims now coming so close to imperial scales due to the switch to metric measurement scales, it is very important that the PCD sensor provide a very accurate measurement/scale ruler as I have known Measured 5x114.3mm PCD (Ford) rims and the tool only measured it from the positive side of 115. So if I had guessed the reading, I'd say it showed 5 x 116mm, which doesn't exist, nor was it anywhere near what numbers on the imperial scale. Also tried with a known 5x120mm set (BMW) and it registers on the instrument with a positive side of 120 (about 125) and a positive side of 4.75 so there is no way of knowing for sure. I bought these so I could be sure I was getting the right ones when buying used wheels. I need to make my own hash marks on the tool. Pretty simple tool and as such it should have been pretty easy to get it right, but apparently it isn't. If you want something close to accuracy, look elsewhere.
