I was looking for a nice but easy project to take with me on vacation and decided on this one. I liked his restraint and delicate coloring of the flowers. The end product is great, but it wasn't easy. The trunks are complex because they intersect. While the satin stitch is fairly simple, making it look good on the leaves isn't easy. Spider roses are very simple, like all flowers, embroidered with a straight stitch. The directions are very difficult to understand. I'm quite experienced and have had problems with it so far. I ended up having to look on YouTube to see what some of the stitches looked like. Also the pink/red ink used to highlight areas to be embroidered with white and purple thread bled so profusely when I washed it off. Pattern that the floss is discolored and pink watermarks on my piece. I nearly cried. However, it looks so good (even with flaws) that I hung it anyway. Be aware - if you buy this be prepared to either leave the drawing underneath the finished work or work on removing the ink.
