Bought because my fryer has a 20 minute timer button. When I need to preheat for 10 minutes or just cook for 5 minutes, the timer was very helpful. That works great. I love that it has 2 timers so I can set one for preheating and one for cooking time if needed. The timer is running loud enough for me to hear. I only have a kitchen and living room on the ground floor. I can sit in the living room and hear the kitchen clock ringing. Please note: There is a slider on the side to adjust the volume. When I first used the timer I was unaware of this feature and thought the timer broke when I couldn't hear it (I was sitting at the table with the timer) when the time ran out. Upon checking I found a slider that allows you to mute or select 1 of 2 volume functions. The timer will also flash red when the time is up. One minus: There is no on/off switch that I could find. So I have to remove the batteries after use, otherwise the timer stays on. There is no auto shut off feature. This is problematic as I always seem to lose batteries. I think the age. I still give it 5 stars because it works as advertised and I've used it several times. It has some food on it, wipes off easily and still works. So it costs money.
