Review on Children's 2-wheeled city scooter TechTeam City Scooter 2020, white by Janis Saikovskis ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm happy with it, the price and the quality, I recommend to buy it.

This is our first adult scooter. Nothing much to compare with. We needed a universal scooter for the family. Basically, my son is 6 years old to drive, because. he had already grown out of his childhood and sometimes even tumbled over the steering wheel. And on this I can sometimes ride (height 179), and my wife and son (height adjustment of the steering wheel allows). Riding with a child is not comfortable, because. the deck is still small and not designed for two. The front shock absorber is quite hard on my "mutton" weight of 65 kg almost does not react. Depreciation of the rear wheel is softer and quite noticeable. But I noticed that if you put your foot (thus shifting the center of gravity) right next to the rear wheel, then the deck sags and sometimes even strikes on the asphalt. I'm afraid under a heavy rider of 90-100 kg the problem will get even worse. I feel it myself when we get up with a child (65+25 kg). I weighed the scooter on the scales - 5.1 kg. The son is quite comfortable with him in pokatushki, but of course it’s hard for him to carry him up the stairs. Not surprising, because the scooter is declared 10+. The folding mechanism does not cause me any special questions. Easy to fold/unfold. Perhaps it will not be easy for children and persons far from technology at first. The height of the deck is comfortable for riding. But on uneven paths, sometimes on sidewalk exits it strikes. But this is not an "SUV", but really a "city scooter". The roll is good. The front wheel turns easily. The back is worse. But I think it can be fixed with grease / washers. The bearings are indeed ABEC9. In general, a good horse for the price. How it will be with reliability, time will tell.

Pros
  • Beautiful design, shock absorption on the front and rear wheels. Footrest available.
Cons
  • On the deck is a normal skin. I would like a rubber pad, but I understand that it would cost more. The lack of a hand brake at this price I do not consider it a disadvantage.
