Great for my application that requires installing heavy (about 300 pounds) jacketed ovens in cabinets. I've read reviews of other similar devices that say the socket or nut breaks after a few uses. YOU MUST GREASE THE SCREW! This item comes with a thin shipping rust coating on the screw but is not suitable for heavy loads. I had to raise the jack a bit to get access to the jack screw and I noticed that some of the black oxide coating had come off due to poor lubrication. I have used a heavy duty wheel bearing grease along the jack screw and the unit runs smoothly. Lubricate it and it should last a long time. The base is a bit narrow but I like this item.
