Rear Panel 1/2" thicker than original volvo. It installs, works well but does not allow you to reinstall the glove box. The back of the glove box is against the thicker one Fits the replacement fan back plate and prevents your glove box from sitting properly on the screws to ensure the glove box is properly secured I have a 1997 Volvo 850 GLT station wagon I don't know if the van is a special beast or not, but the part numbers are all the same so if you build a new compressor with the same dimensions as the original it should fit.Very disappointing.
