As with most aftermarket fans for the 850, the plastic motor case is slightly larger than the factory case. So your glove box insert doesn't fit as well as it used to.

I have a 1995 Volvo 850 GLT station wagon and I can confirm that this fan will not fit. I replaced it with the included wiring harness but it still pushes the glove box about 1/2 inch out of where it should sit. You can force the glove box door shut, but it looks bad. Also, this fan has some of the performance of an original 23 year old Volvo. I swapped out the resistor and relay at the same time so I know all other components are fine, but at max power the fan is still very disappointing.

Works, fits, cheap (much cheaper than OEM Volvo), only time will tell. In the last 3 or 4 years I have installed 2 used fan motors in my car, this time I decided to buy a new one. I had to send the first one I got when I installed it and turned it on. , the fan was so unbalanced that my dash vibrated like I'd just dropped a few quarters into a bed of magical fingers.
