Works very well, the price is very reasonable but I can't give it the rating it deserves as the company doesn't offer external replacement probes. Probes that sit in the meat in the oven have a limited lifespan. I have two other digital thermometers that are unusable because their probes are no longer available. The typical lifespan of the remote probe is about one year considering that the lifespan of this thermometer can be considered the same. Yes, I know you can open the oven and still pop the meat in to get the temperature, but that's nothing compared to the convenience of having the temperature displayed on top of the oven.
