Works well! I'm using a 2011 MacBook Pro and a Nikon D300. I originally bought a 25ft cable but it kept disconnecting. I think it was because of the long cable length. I returned it and bought this 15ft cable which works fine. The only time I lost connection was when my computer went to sleep. I had to close the modem (using Lightroom CC Classic) and restart the modem. The USB connection to my computer is solid and reliable, and the connection to my camera is solid. I bought and used an inexpensive Richer-R cable clip for my camera. This ensures that the cable does not become disconnected from the camera. As mentioned, this is a cheaper cable than the orange ones and it gets the job done. This is one of the few times I feel like I don't have to spend extra money to make my life easier.
