Great upgrade for my 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE with very few errors

Overall I am very happy with this update. The original center unit on my 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE was almost obsolete when I threw it out of the dealer park, and finally this unit delivers a long-overdue upgrade. Installation was tedious, but overall it was worth it. There are many installation videos (the barcode in the instructions led to a youtube video that wasn't there, but there are many others). I looked at a few of them and they were helpful. Let's look at the negatives first: 1. A bit difficult to install. One complaint I have is that the metal bracket that needs to be removed from the original Toyota unit is only held in place with one screw on each side instead of two. The block itself is pretty solid, but with all the ups and downs of the car, two bolts on each side of a block this heavy would be better. 2. Does not use the original GPS antenna and built-in microphone. It's no big deal - you can route the included microphone and GPS antenna cables outside of the center console without drilling, but you'll probably want to tape them in place so you don't accidentally hit them. The adhesive pads supplied with the antenna and microphone were suitable for this task. Those were the only downsides I encountered and there is a lot to like about this device. It exceeded expectations in several ways: 1. After reading the other questions I figured I wouldn't be able to do the front to back transition since I don't have a factory installed JBL stereo. This is only partially true - I can make the sound in both the front and the back OR just the front OR just the back. That's pretty much all I had to do - sometimes when someone is watching a movie I put the sound in the background and play the sound through the stereo. I thought from the manual that RDS text is not supported with radio and even got a reply from the seller pointing this out. Not true. I'm in the US and I'm a fan of classical music. I want to see the text that is displayed when playing a local classic FM station. However, to do this I had to go into factory settings and turn on RDS (which according to the manual is only for Europe - RDBS is used in the US - but this allows the lyrics to be displayed for the song being played, not the station identification. Yet that's what I wanted, so I am very satisfied.3.Integration with pre-installed rear camera works better than before and uses CANbus information to overlay the car's trajectory on the rear display. bad because now the low resolution of the camera is displayed on the screen with almost 4x Pixels displayed. I was spoiled driving my wife's Tesla M3 and the camera resolution is poor, but the VISIBILITY of the camera on the screen is much, much better now. 4. It is possible to buy TPMS sensors for your tires , but this device actually gives you the pressure from your factory TPMS sensors, it just doesn't show up in the TPMS app, it shows up in the vehicle info tion app. I was ready to live without it, but a pleasant surprise, it's still there, just not where I expected it to be.5. CANbus integration is good and mostly works with steering wheel controls. The rather useless Toyota voice control button is now a mute button and I can probably make a different mapping. Placing phone calls isn't exactly the same, but it's really well covered with the large Android Auto display. The missing blocking of all functions while driving is very welcome. I'm not the type to fiddle with screens and displays while driving, but sometimes I can ask the person in the passenger seat to enter a navigation destination while driving. I was able to install the Google Drive app and use my home WiFi connection. to download movies and pictures to customize the display. I'm sure I'll find out more things to do with this device. There's really a lot to like and only a few minor complaints. I would say that the installation is for the patient and brave, but it actually turned out well.
