This product was a great solution to my problem!
I spent months trying to figure out how to keep my dog out of the room where the litter box was. I have tried enclosed litter boxes which my dog has kept climbing into and my cat has been unhappy with them. Not only does this item come in handy when I'm not around to babysit my dog, but I also use it to keep her in the room when I'm there. It can certainly be used by parents of small children. It was a very economical solution to my problem.
