decent pump for the price EDITED

the pump is very quiet. One thing I noticed in Corsair ads is that they say to adjust the pump speed in your games. I am not suggesting anyone do this. I've been into water cooling for many years and the only thing pump speed does is the pump wears out quicker. I suggest you set the speed as low as possible as long as you have a decent flow. The longer the water stays in the heatsink, the more it cools, but the longer it extracts heat from the CPU/GPU blocks. It works about the same regardless of speed as long as the flow rate is going through the system. I had many different pumps from old ddc heck d5 even old chinese external pumps. I had lasted the cheap one for 3 years because I had kept it at very low speeds of 30% the whole time. The faster the pump runs, the faster it wears out. Cable management with this pump is terrible because of all the cables, but great value. d5 lasts the longest and you can only change the pump when needed. I use my coolant sensor more to control the fans. When my water rises above 35 degrees Celsius, it starts to gradually increase the fan speed until it reaches around 40 degrees Celsius. When I play rdr2 my loop will max out at 40C, and that's with my pump constantly running as slow as possible. works the same at full speed. I'm not suggesting anyone to follow the Corsairs' suggestion of controlling the pump speed when the temp is off. Just set the lowest speed and save your pump life. There's no point in working hard as a pump if there's no benefit in it. The pump failed after a year of use. I think it was a manufacturing error. I'm sending it back for a warranty RMA. I turned the computer off and on again, but the pump didn't work. and haven't walked since.
