Review on 🔧 Delta 17-924 Mortise Attachment Chisel by Ryo Flora

The image with this product shows Type 1 17-924 what is actually available and what I received is Type 2 17-924. The two main differences are the number of seals (Type 2 has 6 versus 3 for Type 1) and instructions. For Type 2, the instructions are minimal with no special setup for the drill type. I have a 12" Delta 11-990 drill press and I am at a loss with the installation with a stepped spring. It wasn't clear where the bit holder was supposed to be until I went to the Delta website and downloaded instructions for Type 1 17-924. This guide provides the detailed information needed to properly place the bit holder on the quill along with step-by-step installation instructions. After reading this guide, the installation took less than 5 minutes. A test cut later and I was up and running. Decent cutter for the price.
