I have a feeling this is often one of them. You get what you see or the version you want of something lol. And I'll say it's the real thing. We used this for our parrots a while back. It's perfect for a parrot. It's strong and we will make it. The ropes on the coconut and ladder seem very reliable. It took them quite a while to get inside. So I kept hiding treats in it. Now they have more fun. 2 goes in. But most of the time, one takes up the most space and throws the other out. XDI recommends this. ^^
