This product is generally not good satire for all but the youngest healthy dogs and let's face it these dogs don't need stairs. The stairs are too narrow and fall threateningly. Even my 1 year old 20 lb terrier mix can't move over it without falling. I wanted them to support my 17 pound little dog who is unable to jump off my loft bed due to hip surgery. He can't use them at all. One day he tried to climb down and fell down the narrow steps. Both dogs are scared to death of this ladder. A total waste of money and since I bought them from a third party called stores123 (the main thing to remember) they won't return any crappy items without covering 15 percent of the restocking and shipping cost. Total bs Do not buy these ladders. Now I'm stuck somewhere at half the damn price, or I'm stuck at a very expensive plant stand or coat rack. A lesson really learned.
