Review on Inkbird IHT-1P Instant Read Meat Thermometer: Digital Waterproof Rechargeable Food Thermometer with Calibration, Magnet, Backlight – Perfect for Grill, Smoker, Kitchen, Turkey by Beth Walker

I've been using Thermapen for years and carry several spare ThermoPops with me. So I'm always hesitant to use other brands of thermometers. It works the same as my other sensors as it uses almost the same type of sensor. I've tested it in fixed meat depths, steak depths, and multiple temperature (ice, boil, and 140) water baths. The Inkbird was spot on on all counts out of the box, although it can be adjusted. I compared temperature and time with the other two thermometers. As expected, the Thermapen was a hair's breadth faster, particularly at the speed it reads the steaks instantly, but the Inkbird was a hair's breadth faster than the ThermoPop, which I've used many times at this speed without complaint. The charging function stopped flashing faster than I expected when fully charged, but of course the lifespan is not so easy to estimate. The only thing I had to be careful of was not opening the probe the wrong way, because its wobbling is enough to make you pull sideways if you go too fast. In fact, the only thing I like about ThermaPop is that it doesn't fold if you don't want an angle but want it straight and space isn't an issue. The display is easy to read from different angles and is well lit. All in all I would recommend this product as well as others.
