This repair kit saved my ass when I had a major puncture far from home. I simply pushed a strip of bacon into the hole with the tool provided and the latex in the tire did the trick. Having CO2 tanks to fill my tires, I was back on the road in 10 minutes (and it was my first tubeless repair). Since then I have driven a few thousand miles on this repaired tire with no leaks at the repair site. Note: Be sure to bring something to trim the excess bacon strip hanging out of the hole. Otherwise, you might feel a slight knock-knock-knock as the wheel spins when you're on the pavement. Eventually the strip hanging out of the hole will crumple and the knock will go away, but it's probably best to cut off the extra strip of bacon to avoid stressing the repair site.
