Review on Thumb Spica Wrist Brace - Aircast A2 Support For Improved Comfort And Stability by Brian Fisher

Very helpful for improving De Quervain's

I first purchased this for DeQuervain's, a tendinitis in the wrist. That problem was greatly helped by immobilizing the wrist. I wore this brace during the day on and off (I took it off if my wrist felt sore) and another one at night. This brace kept the thumb in a fairly neutral position; the other brace kept the thumb a little more splayed laterally. I mention this because I think the alternation was important for the healing. De Quervain's is very frustrating, but it can get better!FYI, once I set the tension, I left all the straps in place except for the one with the word Aircast on it. Rather than using this one as designed, pulling it through buckle and backwards, I ran the strap in the opposite direction entirely; worked better for me like that. I use only that strap to snug the brace. I recommend you don't snug it down too much.
