Do not always latch - Throw screws in garbage and replace with better ones

Purchased 12. Two of the twelve do not always latch so they must first be pushed in by hand and then close the cabinet door. Slots for positioning latch need to be longer as nearly every latch needed a different offset distance to function properly. Screws are made of a very soft, low-quality steel. 2 screws snapped leaving the tip embedded in the cabinet door, another 8-9 stripped where phillip screwdriver inserts into screw head. Would buy a more expensive and higher quality spring latch if I was doing it again. Buy cheap hardware- get cheap hardware.
