I watched a few videos and thought it looked easy enough. Yes, two wheel drive. The 4x4 is a bit tricky and you have to remove the steering shaft, jack up the motor, remove the wiring and bend the heat shields and have a variety of ratchets, extensions and swivels/carriages. but it's certainly doable. Saved about $450 on dealer parts and labor. On our '08 Suburban LT we only did the driver's side. It was more difficult than expected and took two people 2 hours. We're not mechanics, but we work enough with cars to know what we're doing. The quality of the part seems to be good. Almost identical in construction to OEM. No modifications are required other than bending the heat shield everywhere.
