Ordered to upgrade the laptop. Received Prime Window within 2 days. The problem is that it was bad from the start. I've seen several reviews about how neat the little tin container it comes in is. Worried even before installation. Memory modules and other microcircuits are sensitive to static electricity. Guess a metal box conducts electricity, even static electricity. Every time I bought memory it was either in a plastic box or in an anti-static bag, but I tried and in fact it was dead (unrecognized by the BIOS). I checked the type and amount of memory allowed for my particular laptop (before ordering and after it didn't work) and installed it using a computer repair mat with grounding strips to avoid static buildup. Put the old modules back in and everything worked. I have to say that the return process was smooth (I'm a Prime member) and I got my money back in a few days. What really worries me is that someone selling them needs to understand how bad the idea is of sending them as is. Given the lack of "factory" packaging and shipping method, these modules appear to be refurbished rather than new. If I wanted a used one I would go to eBay or use another buying method and look for a used one. I bought them as a main item and was expecting new ones. Buyers beware, especially if you're not shopping as a Prime member.
