First of all they are nicely made, comfortable, good material and many will like if they like "shorts" below the knee. I rated them so/so but that's because the pictures are misleading. I just don't like long shorts and I was fooled by the pictures into thinking they were regular shorts. I want my shorts to be shorts, which for me means they are mid-thigh and not knee-high. The photos in this list are not helpful. The legs of these "shorts" are much longer than in the photos. You must provide at least one photo of the model in these "shorts" so you can see how long they really are. Too bad I didn't read more reviews as I now see several other buyers have mentioned the same thing. They're not worth returning so I'm keeping them for sleepwear but I won't be wearing them anywhere else. If you like really long shorts, you'll probably love these. As for the waist, I have a 38-40 waist, I ordered 1X and they fit me perfectly, so I'm not sure why some people have waist sizing issues other than just buying the wrong size. ** To update. Apparently someone updated the photos on this list. Just wanted to mention this so someone reading my review wouldn't be confused as to what I'm talking about. The new photos are much better and more realistic.
