Pretty cool? Yes, too expensive? Yes
It could be thicker but it could make marking more difficult so I guess it's ok but it could be 6 bucks or something like that instead of 20. I think all rulers just come with such precise markings should be made. How stupid of them not to. Of course the notched holes are an ADDITIONAL feature and it's very nice. If I use it daily, it might mean more to me. But that's only a few inches of a foot-long ruler. Ironically I started with 4 stars the more I looked at it and as I used it and how important it was for this tool to help measure I lost a star. It may have helped confirm, but the tape measure did the trick. Maybe the draftsman is more convenient?
