If you've never seen or used this product, it's the consistency of wheel bearing grease. I'm inclined to think this stuff works just as well as the more expensive No-Mar tire grease, but I haven't tried it personally to find out. Maybe someone else has an answer. I first tried diluting a bottle of tire mounting lube with water, which worked well, but I had some trouble with my machine's plastic head catching on the bead of the tire and coming off, and that was on a basic 60 series 16 "Tires. Maybe I diluted it too much or let it dry a bit, but it wasn't slippery like dish soap. Recess under the outer edge of the wheel in the area of the tire bead. I mounted the 45 series 18 inch tires very easily. With this stuff you can mount some pretty tricky tires (low profile and flat tires). As a side note, I also use it on new valve stems to make them retract nice and easy. I'll get a cheap round brush (like the ones used in the parts washer) for the applicator brush in the future. I don't mount that many tires so they last a long time even at full power. And the last. Amazon did an impressive job of shrink-wrapping the lid and placing it in a box where it couldn't move. I bought paint in liter cans from Amazon which was thrown away with little to no packaging and arrived leaking so I was really shocked when I opened the box.
