Review on πŸ’» Enhance Your PC or Mac Connectivity with PCE-U312C: USB 3.1 Gen2 Type C 10Gbps Expansion Card by Darius Carraway

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Tested with m.2 NVMe SSD and chassis

Summary: Using SEKC 256GB m.2 NVMe at a max speed of 1700/1000MB/s (read/write) to confirm this observation to test. As a basis for this test, I connected a UNITEK case with a SEKC m.2 NVMe SSD to my USB-A port, which recorded an expected maximum read/write speed of around 435 MB/s. Then I connect a USB C-to-C cable to port 1 (closer to the motherboard) of the LTERIVER card, resulting in 1000MB/sr/w. I checked that port 2 gives the same results. The onboard USB-C 3.1 port speed was around 800MB/s/s, so this LTERIVER card is faster (expected). Finally, I tested with an Oyen digital SSD and got 535/478 MB/sr/v. Suggestions: Make sure you are using a good cable so lower quality cables will transmit at less than 50MB/s and if you flip it it will be back to normal. Advantages: Complete kit including alternative bracket and screw. Good transmission speed. Cons: 1) Mini CDROM driver read no more than 51%; went to the site to download the driver, 2) there were two unknown devices before loading the drivers, and after loading the drivers, the card showed as ASMedia USB devices, but there was still an unknown device that after persisted after the restart. so not sure what it is. By removing the LTERIVER card, the unknown device disappeared. Verdict: For $33, this device has a 4-star rating due to a driver issue. /gp/product/B08LYPNMVMM.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter, UNITEK USB 3.1 Gen 2 Aluminum Enclosure, $30 / 5 Stars https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BBY1FXJOyen Digital, U32 Shadow Dura, 2TB USB -C Rugged Laptophttps://www.amazon.com/Oyen-Digital-Shadow-Rugged-Portable/dp/B086WNXK19
