Review on Classic Style for Boys: Dickies Long Sleeve Oxford Shirt by David Berry

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Small size: my review

The material is very comfortable. Very white and thick enough not to need a tank top. Seems very well done. However, the size is very small. My child is 9 years old. Sure, he's over 9 (usually wears a size 12) but not tall enough to wear a husky outfit. I measured it and decided a size 14/16 according to the Dickies size chart would be best. He should have had enough space to add a leotard and we hoped he would have one for his orchestra's concerts throughout the year and possibly next year. Unfortunately, the chart is inaccurate. This shirt barely has a zipper in the front and the wrists are also very tight when buttoned up. Thanks to the thickness, he doesn't need a t-shirt. He insists we keep it, but considering its size, it won't last long. I highly recommend it if your kid is on the shallower side.

Pros
  • It is the same as in the picture.
Cons
  • The collar may lose its shape and begin to pucker after repeated washing.
