I was looking for a kitchen tool to grate radishes, carrots, cucumbers, etc. as an accompaniment to Asian soups and salads, and it works! Well made, well thought out, first class materials. Two grates and a lid so you can store grated food for later use. The included cleaning products were great. I now use one to peel apples for apple salad. The shell goes in wide strips. I rubbed soft Bulgarian cheese into sheets and the grater didn't crush the cheese but made nice streaks as you can see in the photo. I highly recommend the product and would buy this as a gift for someone who loves to cook!
