Works great! I have a Microsoft Surface 3 and the micro USB is internally defective. So I gave up the tablet for a few months. I was worried and angry that I never made a backup copy so all my photos and documents were lost until I found this article. It charges it and allows me to use it as a desktop with plenty of USB and ethernet ports. It even allows me to use the tablet even when the battery is low. I place it on my penis and after a few minutes it rises from its dead state. With the USB charger plugged into the Surface, it takes at least 15 minutes to turn it on, and if you use it too often with the included charger, it will draw power faster than the charger can charge the tablet. After a few minutes it turns off and you have to wait 15 minutes again. With this block you have none of that. Easy docking and undocking even with one hand.
