First of all the rack is of good quality but the screws, locknuts and tools required to assemble the rack and the delicate patience required to avoid losing a few during the installation process Breaking joints is just something . Must have come up with an engineer because a mechanic like me would have swapped out those bolts and locknuts for something lighter a long time ago. Each bike has been designed to be just like the other. Some different brake styles may affect the practical application of this rack on your bike. Please look at the product photos and decide if this is for you or not. The post is definitely sturdy and well built, but I just wish the bolts and locknuts were a lot easier to tighten. The included hex wrench and tools made it almost impossible to complete the installation of the product without breaking a joint or two.
