Type of review

I'm usually a good packer but this was absolute hell i would pay someone to reinstall it. It's not difficult, it's very easy, but bloody tedious, you have to hold a small wrench on one side and use another thin allen wrench to turn the screw, throw it about 100 times and hold the screw on the other side. Wrench, it's a pain. Why on earth do they make it so difficult to work with nuts and bolts, the design should be better CHINA. It seems pretty solid but I wouldn't put anything over 50lbs on…

Beware of these reviews!

I was skeptical before purchasing as this product has so many 4+5 star reviews which traditionally indicate some kind of monkey business. I bought despite my reservations and was not disappointed. The stand looks well made. However, you need the correct configuration of the parts in the correct orientation on your bike for this rack to work - it's not OSFA. The seat post on my touring bike is too small, so I would recommend this product for mountain bikes or cruisers rather than touring bikes…

Bring your tools and be patient.

First of all the rack is of good quality but the screws, locknuts and tools required to assemble the rack and the delicate patience required to avoid losing a few during the installation process Breaking joints is just something . Must have come up with an engineer because a mechanic like me would have swapped out those bolts and locknuts for something lighter a long time ago. Each bike has been designed to be just like the other. Some different brake styles may affect the practical application

Good but faulty

Update: I downgraded my rating from 4 to 3 stars because I found my rack does not clip smoothly into this rack. The bolt that secures the stand and its support leg protrudes so far that the basket cannot securely attach the two hooks to the stand tube. To get a smooth section of tubing to attach my tote bag to, I had to add 4 clamps and 8" long 1/4" diameter stainless steel tubing. If your bike has holes in the frame to install a welded rack, make sure you select that option if you plan to use…

Large sturdy trunk

First I will list some disadvantages.1. It doesn't come with instructions that are well documented. Some people complain about it. However, instructions are available online and I was able to easily install it without them. It's pretty intuitive.2. The supplied screws are of good quality but too long. If you don't have a big distance, they can touch the spokes.3. There isn't much clearance between the seat and the post unless you slide the post out of the support beam. This is a design flaw…
