I have parquet floors. I was willing to walk around and pick up everything on the floor, making sure no blankets or cords touched the floor, and I was even willing to rescue this thing if it got caught on the corner of the carpet. It seemed to do well on low-pile carpet when landing squarely on it, but not in a corner. Since I have two big rigs downstairs, I liked it better upstairs. I didn't fall down the stairs. However, it filled up quickly. I'm still satisfied! It was a good deal and the sand and mud didn't get on my bare feet! BUT then, after three weeks, it became increasingly difficult to turn the device on and off. The power button seemed a little loose and not properly secured. I returned it before my return window closed. I really wanted to love him.
