I actually used a scale and compared the weight of the ground coffee to my old spoon, which I thought was a two-table coffee spoon, with this one and the short handle I had in my drawer. I also used 2 of my tablespoons to weigh how many ounces they were compared to these measuring spoons. Just to make sure my measurements were the same. From all my measurements, these scoops are true 2 tablespoons of ground coffee! My other long handle which I thought was 1.25 tablespoons. So today I measured my ground coffee using those freshly bought real 2 tablespoons and this pot has a richer flavor. I don't know what I'm going to use my old long handled spoon for, but definitely not for measuring coffee. I definitely recommend these shovels and the seller delivered on time.
