Review on πŸ”§ Mastech MS8229 Auto-Ranging Multi-functional Digital Multimeter: 5-in-1 Tool by Edward Mcnamara

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The counter works great, but I found that I don't like it.

Delivered on time, the gauge works great but I found it not like other types of probes. It gave me wrong voltage readings with other test leads I bought, so I went back to the leads that came with the kit. Nothing wrong with the included wires, it's just that if you need more than one hand I used leashes to hook onto the wires. I'll try mixing the supplied cables with the ones I bought and see what happens. UPDATE: Multimeter test leads and Extech. When I bought the multimeter, I opted for Revain's referral package, which consisted of purchasing Extech leads. Used Extech insights and received incorrect readings. found a problem. Extech wires do not have solid metal connectors, but do have a plastic sleeve about 2mm long. Therefore, if you connect them to a Mastech meter, they will not make a proper connection to the meter. Now I have test leads that I can't use properly. Now to bring the leads back. There is no packaging but I know I will have no problem returning it. So don't settle for the Revains package deal and don't buy these test leads other than the test leads are ok but not recommended to use with this multimeter. Just make sure your multimeter can use them.
