Product description states that it is not compatible with B /M drives work notched, but actually, at least for previous Optane drives, they are! Notch B can represent either SATA drives or NVME drives using only 2 PCIe lanes instead of the more common 4 lanes. Shrinking the Optane drive (815p 60GB) from 2 lanes to 1 in my case dropped peak read speeds from over 1200Mbps to around 730Mbps (using the AIDA64 read speed test suite), which is still better than any normal SATA SSD. The writing speed is probably the same. I haven't tried them with my WD SN500 drive, which is also a 2-lane NVME, but I assume it works. YMMV as always, but they're inexpensive enough to try if you have a PCIex2 NVME drive to plug into the X1 slot! Just want to point out that the screws have rather small heads and require good lighting and manual dexterity to assemble!
