Review on ANNKE Security Upgraded Outdoors Surveillance Camera & Photo by Christina Suk

I bought this system to replace an outdated QSee system but have encountered what I consider to be a serious security vulnerability. Pros: - The system was fairly easy to install. and setup - picture quality is pretty good - night vision is also excellent Cons - NVR can only output in 1080p, which is low considering it supports 4k cameras - And the main problem is that NVR doesn't send pictures via email or can send via the Annke app. although the product description above specifically states that you can. I contacted Annke's support team who responded quickly and informed me that this NVR model, N48PBB, cannot send snapshots at all, only live view and remote playback. They recommended an upgraded N48PAW with these features and suggested I return the system and purchase an upgrade. However, due to my location outside of the US, return shipping is very expensive. I'm really baffled by the fact that the security company is going to remove the feature that sends snapshots when an alert occurs. So what exactly do you expect when an attacker breaks in and steals the NVR and you can't open the app and write down all the information available? Final Thoughts: The camera system was easy to set up, day and night images are clear and easy to adjust. However, the NVR can't send any snaps at all, which should be a hurdle for everyone as you're not available 24/7 to respond to alerts and get relevant information about the app. UPDATE (05/13/2021): As mentioned above, I first contacted Annke support about the issue. Their support team was very helpful and forwarded my suggestions for improvement to their engineering team who in turn released an updated version of the NVR with email support. Support will send me an updated version for free to replace the version I have and update the Revain listing with the new model and accurate descriptions. So I'm changing the rating to 5 stars because of the excellent support.
