I was under the impression that the pump would pump slowly, but it actually pumps up fairly rapidly. I really loved how quiet it was. After establishing the desired pressure, I turned it on, and it is now pumping up to the point where it will automatically shut off. The pump works wonderfully, and I couldn't be happier about it.
