Looks solid but quality is questionable
Bought these belts for a Hobie Mirage Sport in late March. Now that it's May the weather is finally warm enough to fish and use straps. The first few times the straps worked fine, seemed quite strong. After a short drive this morning I noticed that one of the straps looked completely chewed off on one side. I don't know what happened, maybe the vibration when driving on the highway rubbed the straps on the kayak and melted? The other didn't have this problem so it goes without saying that I'm disappointed with the quality.
