We have a very cramped kitchen and no way to organize everything in cupboards and the Kitchen-Aid mixer looks great as it sits in the center of our table, but after it added, it is transparent The cover just complements it! We don't move the mixer. So this cover gives a very elegant look to slide right over. If there's any confusion, it's just the lid, not the base. This is just what we need to protect the blender from dust and dirt between uses and we use it often. It is very easy to put on and take off and the clear plastic front is very clear.
