Purchased to remove a stainless steel ship's steering wheel that was stuck to the steering shaft. sure which size is most suitable for our task. But my guess that I needed 3" was wrong as I was using 4" so a set of 3 came in handy. Unlike some others, these pullers came fully assembled. They are intentionally loosely bolted, allowing you to adjust the length of the jaws to suit your task. I ended up doing it 2 times. Also, you need to leave the screws a bit loose to get the device working. The block worked very well. The wheel came off fairly easily. Attaching the puller for this job was a little "uncomfortable". Much easier with an extra pair of hands to help pull up. It probably depends on the work done.
