Mounting area along top edge does NOT match old. It is the correct brand and size and the description says it is a replacement for plastic or metal framed doors. Apparently the company has changed plastic frames since we bought them many years ago. You should state it in the description and explain how to find out if it fits what you have. Anyway, I changed the mounting location of the frame as well as a new valve. I had to grind down one side of the cast burrs on the top of the wing, drill new mounting bolt holes in the frame and make new bolt bushings to replace the ones in the mounting bracket that were in the wrong places. Unless you're really into projects like this, I would advise if you bought this valve and it's not an exact replacement for yours, just return it and buy a completely refurbished pet door to replace your old one. Our frame is really showing its age with cracks from mounting holes etc. Obviously it wasn't the best design. See attached picture.
