Revain's advertising of this product is misleading. Although the size of this gate is correct, it will only fit Ideal Pet's new style dog door frames. If your existing Ideal Pet valve has a round logo, it will fit. If your flap has an "old" style rectangular logo, it won't slide into your frame. This difference and issue is clearly stated on the product packaging itself, but not here in the Revain listing. In my opinion they are intentionally misleading.

Replaced hatch on a sliding glass door for dogs of the same brand. I took measurements before buying, but something is wrong. There is a 1/2 gap between the bottom magnet and the frame. It's about 1/4 inch wider. It's nice, thick plastic and dogs can easily push it. ATTENTION! Look at your old front door. If the logo is rectangular, this valve will not fit. The brilliant folks at Ideal Pet must have redesigned this "new style" and it's not backwards compatible with the old style. The measurements are correct but the screw holes are positioned differently so it doesn't fit. The box clearly says to look for the round logo, but Revain's post doesn't make that clear at all. Mounting area along top edge does NOT match old. It is the correct brand and size and the description says it is a replacement for plastic or metal framed doors.
