We looked at various products, read countless reviews and settled on this stove top coffee maker to replace the electric coffee maker we had for over 12 years. The fact that we control the brewing time and temperature and not our own programmed brewing cycle allows for a better and more customized coffee. Based on the reviews we read about this particular product, we bought the glass pen that was recommended as a supplement. We were very pleased when the blue handle broke after about 3 weeks of use. We expected the clear glass handle to be only a few bucks, so we didn't contact customer service, just replaced the handle with an extra one and reused the coffee pot. We definitely recommend this product if you want an extra grip right from the start!
