The blue pen is broken! the best of coffee machines

I like the coffee pot very much, but after using it three times the blue handle on top broke immediately. It looks like it won't hold on with the black ring either. I called Faberware they said write a claim they will try to help.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • No instructions

I love it. - Kitchen and dining room

Holds approximately 2 liters of water. Long time to infiltrate. Once it starts to ooze, reduce the heat to minimum and let sit for about 10 minutes. No filter required. There are no bases underneath. Great taste. Updated April 5, 2020; The blue glass handle is still intact. The pot is not suitable for induction.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home

Bad design - coffee, tea and espresso

You might want to throw this coffee pot away. I've used mine less than a dozen times and you can see what's happening with the glass handle on top of the pan. It tears where the threads begin. The hardware store may or may not have a replacement. But I didn't have to replace something so new. I have a smaller pan that I've had no problems with. Maybe their brand is better than Farberware. It seems so.

Easy to use coffee maker

I love this coffee maker! It reminds me of my childhood waiting for my mom to wake up for coffee. The coffee tastes great every time and you can increase it for stronger coffee or less for not so strong coffee. It takes a little longer than filter coffee machines; but the taste is so good it's worth it! My son was at home and drank a cup every day. On the third day he looked at me and said"Mom, coffee is tastier than I'm used to!" :)

Pros and cons Best coffee, tea and espresso

This is a very good coffee maker. Makes great coffee. I have 3 additional comments: (1) The watermark lines on the side of the coffee maker (2 cup, 4 cup, etc.) are easy to see from the outside of the jug but hard to see from the inside. (2) The basket is supported by a spring on the pump tube. Spring and pump tube are *not* connected. If you are not careful when washing the pot by hand, the spring can easily slip off the pump tube and fall down the drain. (3) Blue glass handle cracked after 2…

POT THAT DOES NOT HOLD LID

BEWARE! Nothing is perfect. Maybe I caught a defective pot among many sold good ones. For me, the lid kept flying off during the perk! I literally had to hold it in place the whole time while it was on the burner. I checked the lid to see if it needed to be screwed on. no I checked if it should be positioned a certain way. no There are three equilateral small holes in the lid, which I think are used to put the lid on. In my case they were ineffective. I'm tempted to take action and try again…

Makes great coffee!

We looked at various products, read countless reviews and settled on this stove top coffee maker to replace the electric coffee maker we had for over 12 years. The fact that we control the brewing time and temperature and not our own programmed brewing cycle allows for a better and more customized coffee. Based on the reviews we read about this particular product, we bought the glass pen that was recommended as a supplement. We were very pleased when the blue handle broke after about 3 weeks of

Good product! for coffee, tea and espresso

I spent several months studying coffee pots. We are definitely coffee lovers, we usually grind fresh beans every day and brew them in an expensive coffee maker. When camping I strain my coffee into a stainless steel pitcher and everyone LOVES coffee. I figured part of loving it was sitting outside, nice and quiet, doing nothing but sitting by the fire and drinking coffee. Of course. But no. I bought a few other pots before this purchase. One was from Coleman and its handle got too hot on the…

i wanted to love it

About 20 years ago I had an electric coffee maker that I really liked. Then all the new coffee pots showed up and I started studying them. However, none of them compare to coffee in a coffee maker. I have never had a coffee maker on my stove and thought maybe it would be better for me as I have problems with the kitchen switch when using 2 appliances at the same time besides my electric stove. I am very disappointed with this bowl. I'm not sure if the problem is in the percolator itself or…
