Perfect size for chickens. He uses it to just relax and be alone. He's become more active since I put this in his tank. He loves to. You can put it in a tank as small as 2 1/2 gallons and it will have plenty of room to swim. There is a feeding hole at the top that you can throw food in and it goes straight into the login to eat. Needless to say, this is his bed. At night, when I turn off the light, he immediately lies down and falls asleep. The only thing I will say is, when you first get it, wash it very well. I used a small brush to remove small particles from the log. never mind Love love love this product. I have bought many small toys for my rooster but this is what he naturally goes to and really loves.
