Decided to replace the mirror on my Dodge 89 Ram. It was easy to install. But a bit of work/preparation time. I would recommend this to anyone who has a similar mirror instead of using a sticky backing over an old mirror. 1) Take some plastic bags and put them on the mirror while you are still in the truck. 2) Take the ball end of the hammer and break the original glass. 3) Carefully remove the broken glass and clean the point of contact with the mirror assembly. 4) Flip the mirror mount up and apply fresh RTV to the adhesive area of the mirror mount. 5) Place/adjust the mirror in the right place. 6) Apply weight/pressure with random stuff from the garage (I used full bottles and spray cans). 7) Allow 2 full days to cure RTV.
